Tsongmo Lake
Tsongmo Lake is the most visited lake in Sikkim. It is located in the East district of Sikkim at an elevation of 3,753m. It’s a glacial lake and one of the famous tourist spots in Sikkim which is 40 km far from the capital town, Gangtok. The changing season brings color to the lake water. During winter the mountains are covered with snow which gives a picturesque and breathtaking view and as the summer starts the snow melts and forms the source for the lake. The blue color of the lake water is eye-catching for visitors. During winter it is very risky for visitors because of excessive cold and snowfall but the snow remains till May. So most of the visitors start visiting the place from March so that they can play and enjoy with snow all over. The Alpine forest and the snow-capped mountains around the periphery of the lakes make it a mesmerizing place. At the lakeside, you can also take rides on Yaks and mules for your best experience.

Baba Harbhajan Mandir
The Baba Harbhajan Mandir is a temple honoring the Indian army soldier and saint Baba Harbhajan Singh. His life and sacrifice are regarded as a symbol of strength and bravery. The main rites of the mandir include meditation and recitation of sacred texts. This site is a must-see for all visitors. If you visit this temple, you will feel the spirit of this legendary hero.

A visit to the Baba Harbhajan Mandir will leave you in awe. The temple is located at the highest point of Nathula pass, a 10-kilometer trek in the Himalayas. The path to the temple is an adventure in itself. The first stop along the way is a war memorial and the Border Gates of India and China. Then, the journey continues to the Exhibition Centre. The view from the top of the Nathula Pass is stunning, and the journey to the mandir is an unforgettable experience.

The third room is used as an office and storeroom. There are bottles of water, unused slippers, and various articles that are offered to the Baba. Many people believe that if they drink pious water, their dreams will come true. This belief is backed by several scientific studies, but no one has yet been able to prove it. However, it is important to note that Baba Harbhajan Mandir has the support of the Indian Army and is maintained by them.
