Gangtok is a beautiful hill station and also the largest city as well as the capital of Sikkim. It is the first destination for the majority of tourists because it is the center for all places and hub for shopping, nightlife, gambling, and transportation. A large number of hotels and restraints are available in M.G Marg which is also the renowned marketplace in the Gangtok main city. It’s a half-kilometer-long marketplace that is crowded every time with locals as well as tourists. It’s a very beautiful place with fountains and plants which are eye-catching. The benches are available for sitting where one can take a glance or relax and enjoy the marketplace. It is also the main hub for crazy shoppers. The local market at the end of the MG Marg is famous for its Chinese sales. The nightlife in Gangtok is wonderful. There are lots of activities that tourists can enjoy. Gangtok covers an area of 19.2 km square and is located at 5,410 feet above sea level with a population of 100290.
The pick point for you will be either from New Jalpaiguri (Railway station) or Bagdogra Airport nearby Siliguri, West Bengal. 1.Gangtok Ropeway
The Gangtok ropeway is a cable car that links Deorali Bazaar with Tashiling Secretariat. It offers stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains. The ride costs Rs 20 per person, and it runs every half hour. The journey is only about 25 minutes long. There are also guided tours available. Guests can also purchase a ticket for their family members to use. A ticket is required to use the cable car.

2.Tashi View Point

Tsongmo Lake
Tsongmo Lake is the most visited lake in Sikkim. It is located in the East district of Sikkim at an elevation of 3,753m. It’s a glacial lake and one of the famous tourist spots in Sikkim which is 40 km far from the capital town, Gangtok. The changing season brings color to the lake water. During winter the mountains are covered with snow which gives a picturesque and breathtaking view and as the summer starts the snow melts and forms the source for the lake. It is just 10km away from Baba Harbhajan Mandir but you have to pay extra charges for the tour and also you require a special permit for this area. In case you are willing to visit the permit can be taken and we will guide you for that.
Nathula Pass is a mountain pass in the Dongkya Range of the Himalayas in South Asia. It is located in the Chinese territory of Yadong County, Tibet, and in the Indian states of Sikkim and West Bengal. At 4,310 m, it is one of the highest points in the world. This road connects the Tibetan cities of Gangtok and Kalimpong with the lower Chumbi Valley villages.
The road to Nathula Pass is open every Wednesday to Sunday during the summer, while the road is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The best time to visit the pass is from May to October when temperatures are ten to fifteen degrees Celsius and the weather is clear and sunny. While there are many tourist attractions and activities to enjoy in Nathula, the weather is not conducive to hiking. You will be better off traveling during this season to enjoy the scenic views from the base of the mountain.
