What Should You Write About?
Our site focuses on providing useful and interesting travel information in a funny and informative way.
You can write about any place on earth, or even beyond. Topics be broadly classified into:
- Facts: Informative facts about a country/city/town/destination (that you’d need to know if traveling there)
- How to: How to plan travel itineraries and things to do (preferably in India)
- Local’s guides: Tell us everything about where you live! What to do and see, where to stay, what to eat, and insider tips that only locals would know.
- Trips (India): Day trips & Weekend trips near major cities. What are some of the coolest places to visit near a major city? How can our readers get off-the-beaten path?
- Self-guided Walking Tours: If you have to design a path for our readers that would take them through the coolest parts of your favorite city, where would you send them? What route should they take, and where should they stop? Put your tour guide skills to the test and design a self-guided walking tour for our readers! Please note that we’ll need you to create a Google map to go along with your route.
- Hiking/Camping Guides: We’re looking for lists of hikes or camps to do in a specific destination, whether it’s a country, city, or mountain range. Hiking guides should contain lots of personal experience. You must be a hiker and you must have first-hand experience hiking or camping in the area you’re writing about.
- Food, Booze, Tea and Coffee: What to eat and where to eat it?
- If your article doesn’t fall into any of the above, we still encourage you to write and send it to us. It doesn’t matter till your writing is worthwhile reading for our audience!

General Terms of Writing
- Greenfield Holidays will have the editorial control and rights and can modify, change, and alter the content of the article as per the requirement at its own discretion.
- Your article should have a short bio about yourself. Our readers want to be introduced to you before they dive into your amazing post. So give them a little bio with some context about who you are!
- The article should have a proper introduction, body and conclusion.
- Greenfield Holidays can ask the writer to change, modify and re-work on an article or any part thereof.
- Greenfield Holidays has the sole discretion to reject a content if we find the content irrelevant, copied, duplicated or not according to our content standards.
- Greenfield Holidays reserves the right to republish the article or share it on any platform or social channels.
- Greenfield Holidays reserves the right to accept or deny any post without any further explanation.
Specific Terms of Writing
The articles should be at least of 800 words or more but not more than 10,000 words with relevant information and expertise.
Your article may contain only one relevant link to your domain. No other links should be added to the post. However, internal links to Greenfield Holidays website is permitted.
Writers/Authors are encouraged to make a good use of images and videos. Article must contain a photo every 300 words. Videos are encouraged but however not mandatory. Both, images and videos must be free from copyright or any kind of restriction for public use and sharing.
Images and videos can be your own. It can be high-quality images, or can be royalty-free stock images. Videos should be your own or from other source. If from other source, responsibility to credit the original owner and obtain the usages right for that video lies with the writer/author.
Images must have a pixel width of more that 800px, and the feature image should have a pixel width of more than 1200px. They also need to be relevant to the post and be high-quality with good resolution. Videos should be high resolution, clear and audible. It can be uploaded on Youtube and then linked/embedded to the article.
The article should be well-written and error-free. It is encouraged not to make the article too formal. Funny way of explaining and humor/jokes are well received by us.
The article submitted by the writer/author should pass plagiarism test and should be at least 70% original. While the content and facts may be constant or similar, it is expected that the writer/author writes by their own.
The articles should be shared in a word document over email at enquiry@greenfieldholidays.com with the subject line as “Blog Article – Topic“.
Please do not copy-paste in an email body. Images/videos in high resolution can be properly named and shared via google drive / we-transfer with link in the same mail body. Videos can also be uploaded in youtube and link be shared.

Well, we have some more to offer. Greenfield Holidays offers exclusive affiliated marketing program for our writers/authors. It is different from normal affiliated marketing with respect to higher percentage/commission offered to the writer/author or for those who writes for us, promotes the content and generate a transaction.
How does affiliated marketing work?
You write a content in accordance with our terms mentioned above and submit to us. We shall review, correct it if need be and approve it within 7 working days.
Once approved, within next 7 working days, we will publish it in our blog section and notify the writer about it via mail. After publishing, we also provide the writer with a unique coupon code, valid for 1 year (or more) from the date of content published.
What do a writer/author does with the coupon?
Out in the wild, a wide range of readers will read the content on our page. If writer/author promotes/shares the content in his/her own network, he/she can share the coupon code along with his/her content in our website. When any customer books any of the services/tours with us using that coupon code, customer will get a discount and writer/author will also get a commission on percentage basis on the total principal amount booked by the customer.
For e.x. COUPON10 is a coupon code assigned to writer/author ‘A’. Customer ‘C’ uses it to book a tour. Following sequence of events will happen:
Total tour package cost (P): 1,00,000
GST 18% on 1 lakh (T): 18,000
Total payable by ‘C’ = 1,18,000
COUPON10 is a coupon code assigned to writer/author ‘A’ that gives customer ‘C’ 10% off on any purchase and 2% commission to the author ‘A’. Percentage (%) are calculated on the principle amount (P) and not on GST (T).
Customer (C) gets 10% off on 1,00,000 and has to pay 90,000 + 16,200 (GST on 90,000) for the tour. Author/Writer gets 2% commission on 1,00,000 i.e. 2,000.

Writer/Author will have to promote on their own network/circle/readers to generate the transaction. Post your article on Facebook, Facebook Pages and Groups, WhatsApp, Quora, Yahoo Answers, Your Own Website/Blog, Trip Advisor, Make My Trip and other relevant platforms highlighting the article and providing the COUPON CODE. Legal and contractual documents will be shared with the writer/author at the time of formal engagement.
